Please, remember me

If a song could encompass all the longing that you’ve felt in your entire life. If it could cover all emotion, the good and the bad. If it could make you feel as though everything will be better while at the same time made you regret moments lost. If a song could transform you to the point where the stories told were your own, ones that you’ve experienced and endured.

If a song could do all that, wouldn’t you want to share it with the world?

It’s a shame I had to discover Iron & Wine’s “The Trapeze Swinger” in the mediocrity that was “In Good Company” but I would watch the movie again just to hear it play over the closing credits. But I don’t have to, and neither do you:

In the song, Sam Beam recalls a life with beautiful clarity and simplicity. I would quote you a few words but I would have to quote the entire 10 minute song. You have to hear it for yourself.
